The temporary moratorium was put in place at 7:30 a.m. today by Town Manager Harlan Jefferson.

An hour later, Williams Production – the largest gas drilling company in town – inquired about submitting an application for a centralized collection facility and was told no applications were being accepted due to the moratorium, according to town officials.

The people of Flower Mound seem to have spoken, and the ones who ignored and ridiculed residents' concerns over oil and gas have been duly spanked.
