May 13th - Lewisville Hosts Bagpipers and Drummers
Hundreds of firefighter bagpipers and drummers, representing departments nationwide, will fill the plaza in front of Lewisville City Hall on Thursday, May 13, from 7 to 10 p.m. for the third “Keeping Tradition Alive”
Jam Session. The public is invited to attend this event that will showcase various aspects of the many talents firefighters bring to their profession.

May 14th - 15th - Wild About Flower Mound Festival
Friday, May 14 - 5 to 10 p.m.
Saturday May 15 - 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Wild About Flower Mound 2010 will showcase a completely free Kid’s Zone, Environmental Fair, a classic Auto Show, the best in Texas music and much more. Presented by Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Flower Mound, Wild About Flower Mound 2010 will take place at Bakersfield Park, 1201 Duncan Lane, from 5 – 10 p.m. on Friday May 14th and 10 a.m. – 10 p.m. on Saturday, May 15th. Admission and onsite parking are free for all attendees.

May 15th - Oct 30th - Lewisville Old Town Farmers Market
The Old Town Lewisville Farmers Market, a seasonal open-air forum for Denton County and North Texas-grown products, will be open Saturdays from May 15 through Oct. 30 starting at 8 a.m. at Wayne Ferguson Plaza in Old Town Lewisville.

May 17th - Lewisville ISD Board of Trustees Meeting
LISD Board of Trustees meetings are held in the Board Room of the William T. Bolin Administrative Center, 1565 W. Main St., Lewisville, at 7 p.m.

Official notices of these meetings are posted online at least 72 hours prior to each meeting.

May 17th - Lewisville City Council Meeting
The Lewisville City Council meets at 7:00 PM on the first and third Mondays of each month at City Hall, 151 West Church Street, Lewisville, TX [Map]. The public is invited to attend. Citizens may address the Mayor and Council during the Visitor's Forum, although no action can be taken on any item not on the agenda. Agendas are posted here no later than 72 hours in advance of a meeting.

May 21st - Keep Lewisville Beautiful - Miniture Golf Tournament
Keep Lewisville Beautiful will be holding its annual fundraising event, a MINIATURE GOLF TOURNAMENT at Zone Action Park (FM 407 and Summit) from 5:00pm to 9:00pm. Individual registration starts at $20 a person, or $60 per team of four (4).

Players will enjoy dinner, a round of miniature golf, goody bags, silent auction prizes, and an awards ceremony immediately following the tournament. We are looking for tournament players and event sponsors, so sign up today and help raise money for your favorite environmental non-profit! ALL proceeds will go directly to your favorite KLB projects and programs--such as the Adopt-A-Spot and Clean Stream Team programs, Garden Secrets Classes, planting daffodils in October, our fall Trinity Trash Bash Clean up, and more!

May 22nd - Barrel Racing Event in Lewisville

The National Barrel Horse Association’s Texas Region 15 Barrel Race will be held in Lewisville Saturday, May 22, at the Lewisville Rodeo Arena, 101 Parkway. Warm-up exhibitions for the best barrel racers in North Texas will start at 11 a.m., and the event begins at 2 p.m. Admission is free and concessions will be available.
