Lewisville Police have Daquaviar Montrelle Coleman, 23, in custody after a shooting overnight at Park Timbers Apartments, 1902 S. State Hwy. 121 Business. Lewisville Police Captain Dan Rochelle said that about 21 separate 911 calls came in Wednesday night around 11:05 p.m.. Callers advised of shots fired near building 1 or 3 at the complex. There were no injuries reported, but one car was damaged. Rochelle says the suspect is not fully cooperating with police with regards to who he was shooting at, or why. Police did find 9 mm shell casings near building 4, according to radio traffic recordings. They arrested Coleman in the complex. Police did briefly detain some individuals in a white SUV that was originally believed to be involved in the shooting, but Rochelle says police determined they were not involved.

Rochelle says that police believe Coleman is a resident of the complex, but he was not certain whether Coleman was a gang member, or if the shooting was gang-related. Coleman is held on charges of Deadly Conduct - Discharge of a Firearm, Possession of a Pg. 3 Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana, as well as Speeding and No Drivers License charges that may have been prior warrants. As of 10:30 this morning, when we spoke to Rochelle, Coleman had not yet been arraigned.
